Your voice is turned into text and then the audio is deleted. Your notes are yours. We sell nothing about you to anyone.
Recordings are captured to produce a transcript, then deleted. With on-device transcription, audio never leaves your phone. With self-hosted transcription, audio goes to the server you configured, under your control. With cloud transcription, audio is sent to our transcription endpoint, processed by Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, and not stored by us after the transcript is returned.
In Local Mode, notes exist only on your device. In Online Mode, notes and notebooks are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account, protected by access rules so only you can read them. Cover photos you choose stay on your device and are never uploaded.
Online Mode uses Firebase Authentication with Google Sign-In or email and password. We store your email address, a user id, and your plan and usage counters (minutes of cloud transcription used per month).
The app reports crashes (Firebase Crashlytics) and basic usage events (Firebase Analytics) so we can fix bugs and understand which features matter. These reports do not contain the text of your notes.
If you use the in-app feedback form, we store the message you write, your app version, and platform. Include your email only if you want a reply.
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We never see your card details; we receive a purchase token that activates your plan.
The optional Rewrite feature sends the note's text to the AI server you configured yourself. If you have not set one up, no note text is sent anywhere for rewriting.
Deleting a note or notebook removes it from your device and, in Online Mode, from our servers. To delete your account and everything under it, email hello@weave-notes.com from your account address and we will complete it within 30 days.
Weave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
